Through collaboration with the New Hampshire State Library, NHLA is pleased to offer this professional development opportunity for library administrators and managers. Cassie Gillespie, LICSW will offer adaptive leadership skills to support seasoned or new library administrators or managers. Specific topics and foci of this workshop will be based on a learning and listening session held on September 6 with representatives from NHSL library co-ops and NHLA Executive Board members. Examples of possible topics covered include:

*Core Values in Supervision (What kind of a leader are you?)

*Effective Communication in Supervision

*Your Role as a Supervisor in Building Trust and Psychological Safety

This workshop is a precursor to Cassie's presentation at the NHLA Fall Business Meeting titled "I Can't Self Care My Way Out of This!" which will focus on moving beyond self-care to address, at the organizational level, chronic stress and trauma in the workplace. Collective care strategies will be the primary focus of Cassie's presentation on November 6 and this presentation is intended for all library staff. 

The "Collective Care Leadership" on October 4 is offered free of charge to NHLA members any only to NHLA members. Limited to 70 participants.
