NHLA’s Advocacy Committee is excited to announce that we are offering ALA’s Advocacy Bootcamp to New Hampshire librarians and trustees on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 1:00 to 4:30 pm at the Hooksett Public Library in Hooksett, NH!

This workshop, presented jointly by James LaRue (Director of ALA’s  Office of Intellectual Freedom) and Marci Merola (Director of ALA’s Office for Library Advocacy), will show attendees how to re-think library advocacy, re-define the library community, and expand the way we have been advocating for libraries.  Each attendee will receive an Advocacy Bootcamp workbook, and we strongly encourage each library to send one library employee and one trustee.  Advocacy is a joint effort that can only be successful if carried out by both employees and trustees, and this workshop will provide the tools for increasing advocacy in your community.
