9:45-10:40 Advocating for Library Services: Whether you are asking for a better budget to add a teen librarian, preparing for a capital campaign, or just practicing continual advocacy for local support, there are some skills you need to hone. Christine Friese, Assistant Director at the Portsmouth Public Library and a trainer for the PLA advocacy series “Turning the Page,” will bring it down to realistic goals and practices for even the busiest librarian. Do not wait for a budget cut threat; let’s work on advocacy today.
