Learn the basics of planning and leading storytimes in this interactive workshop. Come prepared to sing and dance and be silly. Together we will learn to identify stages of child development and how to make storytime engaging for each age group. We'll discuss how to develop a storytime routine, including choosing appropriate books, incorporating literacy skills through play, and how to manage the adults and children in the crowd. We'll learn from each others' successes and mistakes as we encourage each other on our storytime journeys.

Tanya Moesel is an experienced and enthusiastic librarian and educator with a heart for communities and individuals. She has a desire to share the joy of libraries and literacy with everyone she meets. After teaching in public elementary schools and spending a few years homeschooling, she began working in a library children’s room. This launched her into a new career as a children’s librarian. She has worked in libraries for eight years, receiving her MLIS in 2021. She is currently the Head of Youth Services at Rodgers Memorial Library in Hudson, NH.
