 This class will provide an overview of principles and practices of cataloging for the non-cataloger. By taking this class you will understand: 

  •             What cataloging is and why it is necessary
  •             How cataloging records are structured and what they contain
  •             Why controlled vocabularies are used in cataloging
  •             How subjects are assigned in cataloging
  •             How materials can be physically organized in libraries

This presentation is sponsored by the NHLA Paralibrarian Section and is open to members and non-members. Attendees can join in person or virtually.

Cost:  $10 NHLA Paralibrarian members  $15 NHLA members/guest

Payment can be made via credit card online, or check.
